FAQs

CTRL Z Q&A

Are workshops for smokers or non-smokers?

Anyone can attend the workshops. We recommend booking sessions for whole classes, year groups or schools because young people are influenced by each other’s behaviour. CTRL-Z workshops are designed to prevent the uptake of smoking so its recommended even in schools where there is currently not a problem with tobacco. There may be a few smokers among the group even in these cases and facts and skills learned in the workshops will be useful to them also. For any young people who are currently smokers, referrals can be made to our Kick-It Quits Service or if they are out of Kick-it commissioned area, further information can be found from the local Stop Smoking Service.

CTRL Z Q&A

Do the workshops cost money?

CTRL-Z workshops are FREE of charge within Kick-it commissioned boroughs. Currently this is the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames.

CTRL Z Q&A

Do you cover drugs such as cannabis in your workshops?

CTRL-Z’s specialism is tobacco and smoking behaviours. With some issues like cannabis smoking there is some crossover which CTRL-Z can address and CTRL-Z works closely with partners in substance misuse.
